VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are dedicated to raising awareness, promoting education,  providing solutions, & we support the efforts of our Valued Volunteers.  Every project will include a Hands Up to Self-Sufficiency Training.  One of the first priorities, in any International area for visiting groups, will be providing safe living accommodations.  Volunteers will work on Project sites during the day, returning to their safe & comfortable "Home-Away-From-Home"  in the evening for meals, and preparing for the next day's Project Adventure.

We identify Domestic, Community, and International Issues to Provide Foundation Approved Solutions.

Our "HANDS-UP" PROJECTS include training, education, & guidance opportunities, to provide Hope, & the Ability to Create Self-Sufficiency, Pride, and Enhanced  Family Living Environments.

Generational Poverty around the Globe, Demands Attention & Assistance to make a "Quality of Life" Difference. 

Major concerns include Worldwide Poverty, Domestic Abuse, Hunger, Lack of Employment Opportunities, 

Bullying (in all age categories), Underage Pregnancy, access to Free Medical & Surgical Treatment Projects, 

as well as Community Environmental  &  Clean Water Resources. 

EVERY FUNDED PROJECT OF THE LEGACY OF PROSPERITY FOUNDATION, WILL FOCUS ON THE CRITERIA & ABILITY,  to be a 'HANDS-UP'  TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY &  EACH  PROJECT WILL ENHANCE  LIVES FOR  FUTURE  GENERATIONS !!

CAREER PREPARATION- VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

In the USA, Canada, and South America, as well as many areas around the globe, the lack of employment and education opportunities, creates generational cycles of poverty and frustration.  

The Foundation has many proposed, and ongoing educational projects, that have been in place and privately funded for over six years by Two Retired Sisters, Suzi & Linda, with the help of many "Angel" Friends & Family.  

All  funded projects specifically address, correct & break the cycle of poverty, as the Legacy of Prosperity Foundation has Projects created to provide education, guidance, and mentoring from experienced Professionals & Volunteers, who are graciously dedicated, patient, and LOVE  "BEING  PART  OF  THE  SOLUTION"

COMPUTER TRAINING-VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

High School Students and Family Head-of-Household applicants who enroll, and agree to a Contract for Completion Guidelines between teacher and student, will begin an intensive computer training school, taught by experienced Volunteers.   

Computer Technology will prepare students for job opportunities and online internet skills, to secure employment and provide a better Quality of Life. 

Students who excel in computer technology may be selected to become an intern  &  be trained to TEACH OTHERS.  

Our quest is to multiply the benefits of knowledge, establish a new LEGACY OF PROSPERITY FOUNDATION Community Training Center in other communities, duplicate the opportunities of Technology for Self-Sufficiency, to educate and guide the students to become leaders of their communities.  

ALL students are trained on new technology computers, & upon graduation, may qualify for a personal computer.  

COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRIES - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Foundation community food pantries, will be established for families needing emergency assistance to feed their families.   Pantries will be stocked by donated non-perishable staples,  coordinating with the Local Mayors and Community Leaders who will provide recommendations for basic food staples, respecting the customs, culture, and nutritious needs for their area.   

First Time Emergency Food Pantry access, will be with a mutual understanding, that family members, according to their abilities, will assist in their community HANDS-UP  program.   The Participating Families will qualify for the program, and future food distribution, by donating time to their community's improvement projects.  For every community task that is needed, training & skill demonstrations will be provided.  Every community will have different needs to improve their community.  Some skills may include such tasks as preparing & painting buildings, maintenance of city property,  removing litter from public spaces, etc.    

Being part of a community, having pride in their town and their home, and working for their food, gives people a sense of pride in their accomplishments, and participation.   Every person learning skills in our HANDS-UP projects are more qualified to find local jobs, to assist in future community projects, and learning how to 'Help Others' !!

Hours spent in service, helping their own community, will qualify families to receive future food withdrawals from the food pantry,  the community gardens, and learning new skills, for community job opportunities.  

GARDENS AND PLANTING - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Participation & Training to Plant Gardens, Trees & Nutritious Produce, is a Valuable Solution for World Malnutrition & Hunger.  

Foundation Projects include supplies and training to build raised gardens, plant the initial seedlings, and be trained how to process the mature produce.  Experienced Volunteers will train all participants in every phase of seed planting to table consumption.  With proper procedures taught,  organic and naturally duplicatable demonstration methods, seed sprouting and reproduction of plants mastered, the community should experience a bountiful harvest, and be prepared to continue the community gardens as their Legacy for future generations.

* Planting & Cultivating Nutrient-rich food sources, and teaching community leaders and participants to nurture plants & harvest food, will help eliminate starving families within ALL Project communities.

* Careful  Criteria Selection for only the most nutrient-rich plants on the Planet, ie: must be easy to plant, fast to grow, simple cultivation, preparation & consumption should help eliminate community malnutrition.

Some Planting Selections High in Nutrition, Grown in Most World Regions, and Easy to Cultivate Include:

* MORINGA TREES - more nutrition than kale, spinach, even spirulina for health benefits / contains vitamins A, C & E, high in calcium, promotes bone health, prevents heart disease, an excellent source of potassium,  and reduces anxiety and stress.  

* GOJI BUSHES - protects the eyes, provides immune system support, protects against cancer, promotes healthy skin, improved depression, anxiety, sleep, prevents liver damage, and for millions of diabetic people in every country, stabilizes blood sugar.

* COCONUTS are beneficial for a variety of uses; including fiber, powerful triglycerides, manganese for bones, metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, cholesterol, rich in copper & iron, helps form red blood cells, selenium, antioxidants that protect against free radicals. and although coconut water is not identical to human plasma, in an Emergency, coconut water is accepted as a Universal Transfusion.

Food from the Community Gardens will be distributed to families who  have actively participated, to the best of their abilities, in the Garden Projects.  Each family will learned the entire process from "planting to eating" & trained to replicate the process, assisting & teaching others, to build gardens and have nutritious food to eat.

NATURAL RESOURCES &  CONSERVATION- VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Immediate attention is needed in regard to World-Wide water contamination.  A crucial first step to corrections in Third World Countries is training and assisting in the implementation of sanitation facilities, systems that do NOT dump raw sewage into the ocean, causing water contamination and danger to marine life.   The proper disposal of batteries and other caustic materials will help eliminate tons of toxic chemicals and plastic, currently being dumped into the oceans every year.

Foundation Projects are IN PLACE to replace hazardous contaminated water, with clean water supplies for communities.

*  If anything is ON the beach, after high tide it is IN the Ocean, thus the need for several, beach clean-ups a day. 

* Many "do-able" and simple solutions are available, and there are expert Volunteers who have graciously offered their availability to consult with community leaders, to provide suggestions and clarification of the water purification system, best suited for each community's needs.   Some solutions may require several years of implementation, training personnel and machinery available or clearance to import with custom clearance for humanitarian projects.

DOMESTIC ABUSE - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Around the Globe, the statistics of Domestic Violence are staggering.  In the USA alone, there are 12  Million People each year who are victims, and in other countries, including Third-World countries, the percentage of abuse is much higher.  Also, domestic violence is a dramatic factor in rising homelessness statistics.   

Domestic transitional housing programs offer counseling, childcare, transportation, life skills, education, and job training.  It is a safe, affordable option that empowers survivors to begin rebuilding their lives.  Transitional housing programs give survivors the time and services they need to achieve goals for long-term safety and stability.  Without these programs, survivors may have no other option than to return to their abuser’s home, or face homelessness. 

MEDICAL, SURGICAL, NATURAL HEALING - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

To enhance and improve quality of life for Children & Families Worldwide, our Project Facilitators will coordinate:

* Available 'state-of-the-art' operating facilities & health clinics

* Schedule Procedures, Surgeries & Patient Consulting  for Medical, Surgical, & Health Specialist Teams 

*  Comfortable, Safe, and All Inclusive Housing for Visiting Volunteer Health Professionals & Staff

* Corrective Procedures can Change Lives - Volunteer Doctors, Surgeons, & Specialists are Essential for Success 

ANIMAL WELFARE - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Several of our Foundation Angels presently are active in rescuing "street dogs and cats" to have them neutered, treated by a veterinarian for any parasites, diseases, or teeth and gum problems, then animals are washed and groomed, fed back to good health, and housed, prior to being placed in loving and caring "forever" homes.

* Currently all of the expenses for animal rescue, feeding, and care, are self-funded by our Foundation Angels.
